[ A pretty wrapped yet huge box will be delivered to Deuce's home, complete with a long package that seems to be smelling of flowers. It's a broom with an enchanted bouquet to help them never wither (with the signs of some gently powerful magic involved- not that the tag signed M.D and V.S won't give away that Malleus had a hand in it)-

And in the box, will be a set of collector's magazines about the latest blastcycles, a book about studying defensive magics, along with three stylish outfits and an assortment of six carefully selected cup ramen of some fancy looking brand, as well as some gorgeous running shoes made of good quality, and some workout leg weights.

The last two are in a yellow wrapped box, with a L.K signature!

They come with a neatly handwritten note: ]

Dear Deuce—

A birthday away from home may seem strange, but I believe the feeling of home comes from those around you.

You are invited to a celebration for you today evening at 5pm at our home— we thought to send the gifts ahead of time so you could focus on celebrating at the party.

We look forward to having you.

[So many wonderful presents! How is everyone so thoughtful!?

Deuce makes sure to replace the broom he'd bought for flying with the new broom, hanging it so that anyone who visits can see and appreciate it in all its glory.

And when it's time for the party, Deuce makes sure to show up in one of the outfits he was gifted, making sure to look sharp and put together.]

Amazon Delivery for Deuce-y;

[ There is a neatly wrapped package outside of Deuce's door. It's in a bright ectoplasm-colored wrapping paper with a silver bow. Inside, Deuce will find a stylish motorcycle helmet and a neatly folded motorcycle jacket underneath.

The card inside reads:

Happy Birthday, Deuce.
I know you'll get your motorcycle one day. I hope this will prepare you well for that day.

[Deuce doesn't know how to react at first when he opens the package and then sees the note from Silver.

Then there's a lot of excited yelling in his house that probably freaked out his neighbors. Silver gets it.
He gets it so much.

Deuce's first few texts to Silver are a keymashed mess before he finally manages to send a coherent one.]

Silver-senpai! Thank you so much! I'll make sure to work hard so I can put your gift to good use!

You're welcome, Deuce.
If you have some time today, I'd like to treat you to lunch as well.

[ It meant a lot to him that Deuce attended his birthday dinner, and he wants to be able to do something extra nice for him in return. ]

I'd love to! Though only if you can afford to! I mean, not to assume you don't have enough money.

[He's beaming at the thought though.]

I should be fine, provided you don't ask for an entire feast. Would burgers be fine?

[ It's not fancy, but he'll take Deuce to get good quality burgers, at least. ]

I'll keep that in mind. And Burgers sound great! That'll be plenty for both of us!

[It is sad that he can't milk a feast out of Silver but he's up for anything at this point.]

Good, let me know when you're ready,
and we can meet up –I'll send you directions as soon as I find a spot.

[ He wants to do some research beforehand so Deuce doesn't end up disappointed. ]

[It'd be hard for Silver to disappoint him honestly, seeing as Deuce is pretty easy to please. But he's glad for the chance to contain his excitement at least a tad and manages to spruce himself up somewhat nicely before he let's Silver know he's ready.]

I live by myself, in the same area Schoenheit-senpai and the others do.

And if you want to inspect, everything's tidy.

I believe that you are maintaining your space adequately.

Would your quarters allow for a second person comfortably?

It did come with an extra bedroom, so it would.

Why do you need to store something?

Deuce.

[ as is riddle's usual schtick, his greeting is short and to the point--- just his junior's name. though unlike in the past, he's not passing him in the halls or encountering him in the library or perhaps greeting him cordially in the cafeteria!

he's. knocking on deuce's door. ]

You should be awake by now.

[ not that he's here to wake him up but! like! hello ]

[Normally Deuce would be awake, but he'd been working late last night finishing a quest. And then he'd stayed up late, playing games on his phone.

Deuce definitely should be awake by now though. So when Riddle knocks on the door, Deuce rises with a start and then flinches.]

I... [a long yawn.] Roseharts? Yeah, I'm up.

[And he's going to start sliding out of bed, still not fully roused. And Deuce's brain does not remember that he now has a very special housemate...]

[rosehearted]

[ riddle stands there at the door, unsure how he should approach this. yes--- he's still deuce's housewarden. yes, he still has seniority. but it's very obvious that he can't simply continue to treat deuce like those things are relevant?

haha jk he's going to. ]

Deuce! It's mid-morning. I understand you were out late last night, but that's no excuse to not be awake at this time of day!

[ and then he pounds on the door with his fist. ]

Come on, get out. If I have to drag you to the shower by your ear, I'll do it.

[majimekun]

[That definitely woke Deuce up and stumbles out of his bed and lurches towards the door. He's dressed in nothing but a dark blue tee and some shorts, so he's probably not presentable, especially with his bed hair.

But he quickly opens the door.]

I'm up! I'm up!

[He's definitely not going to sleep now.]

Is there something you need?

[rosehearted]

Of course you're up, but you're not ready.

[ he reaches towards deuce's hair, gently trying to pat down some of those raised tufts. ]

I need you to help me with something in the kitchen. As soon as you are properly clean, please come as soon as possible. Okay?

[ and then he taps his wrist. no watch, but the gesture should hopefully still come through. ]

And by that, I mean you have until the sound of the kettle.

[Deuce froze as Riddle adjusted his hair and then ducked away.]

I--- yes, I can do that. Just give me a bit. I'm good at taking quick showers.

[With his time management skills he has to be, otherwise he'd be late to so many things. But Deuce makes sure to grab his things and dodges past Riddle with a quick apology and does indeed take a quick, very cold shower because Deuce wants to be alert for this!

And he manages to get there...a few seconds after the kettle goes off, towel in hand as he finishes drying his hair, now properly dressed.]


Was I late?

[rosehearted]

[ the kettle does start to whistle as soon as deuce appears in their shared kitchen, and riddle offers him a curt nod as he begins to pour the tea. ]

No. You are on time.

[ not that he's disappointed. he doesn't enjoy punishing his peers by any means. ]

Let our drinks cool. In the meantime, I'd like to start by making a very simple thing.
